I always enjoyed my 17 years of Hospitality Industry. It gives me opportunity to have business and leisure at the same time which we friends call Bleasure (No actual word but a mix of business with leisure with similar feelings of Pleasure)
The host city of WTM is London which is the capital and the most populous city of the United Kingdom. WTM stands for World Travel Market and is the leading global event for the travel industry.
I have been visiting London past 10 years to see my family friends but particularly came to attend WTM for two times. London is a beautiful city standing on the River Thames. It is known as world largest financial centre with tourism, transportation, professional services, fashion, healthcare, finances, research, development, education, entertainment, arts & Commerce and many more. Whenever I was returning from London, I always felt like going back and enjoy the beauty of the City.
Like its host city, Word Travel Market has a history. WTM opened its doors in 1980 and had completed a very successful 37th Trade Fair in 2016. The first show took place at Olympia London and was attended by 350 Exhibitors and 7,753 trade visitors. In 992 it moved to Earls Court. The Meridian Club was launched same time but was renamed to WTM Buyers Club in 2013.
In 2002, WTM London moved from Earls Court to ExCeL London and has been taking place same place till now. It is three days event which brings all travel industry people together under one roof by exhibiting more than 5000 destinations. Private companies and Technology partners from private sector gets the opportunity to do the networking with 51,000 travel professionals. This networking is extended to other segments like tourism Ministers, Hospitality Students, Journalists and decision makers. Latest figures show that £2.8 billion worth business contracts were made among the attendees which are a proof of the success of WTM London.
Travel professionals come and enjoy the mix of cultures from 182 countries who exhibit in this show. WTM London has its logo in 1982 then changed in 2002 but current logo is used since 2013.
Don’t forget to enjoy London beautiful view of River Thames by riding Emirates Air Line cable car runs from Royal Victoria to Emirates Greenwich Peninsula. It was free for all WTM London Buyers Club members.
WTM London is a must attend Trade Fair. It gives an opportunity not only to meet Industry professionals under one roof but a life time moment to enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of this beautiful city #London #WTMLondon #Travel #Tourism @ATM_London @visitlondon
